Reorganization Will Benefit Clients, Expand Scope of Services

Burlington, October 1, 2004: Summer 2004 was a busy period for cshAssociates, says President and General Manager, Corinne Hodgson.

Major organizational changes we worked on will greatly benefit our clients, both current and future,” reports Hodgson. “Corinne S. Hodgson & Associates Inc. will remain the parent company and will continue to guarantee clients high levels of service and responsiveness. But by formalizing relationships with key Associates, we’ve expanded the scope of work we can offer.

The organization’s new divisions – cshResearch and cshCommunications – underline the two main functions provided to a variety of healthcare and medical clients, both provincially and nationally.

On the Research side, new associates include Dr. Muhammed Mamdani and Dr. Peter Austin, both from the prestigious Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences in Toronto. Dr. Mamdani has a PharmD and is a leading Canadian researcher in the analysis of large administrative and drug data bases. Dr. Austin has a Ph.D. in Statistics and can bring the highest level of technical expertise to any project requiring complex data analysis.

These gentlemen complement the skill sets and experience of some of our existing Associates, such as Ellen Jamieson, Michelle Webb, and myself,” says Hodgson. “Who will be utilized on a project will depend upon the needs of the clients and the nature of the data. cshAssociates will take responsibility for ensuring that the level of expertise needed for a project is provided – while respecting a client’s budget and timelines. If you need simple data analysis, we can provide it. If you need far more complex analysis, we can provide that too – quickly and economically.”

Curriculum vitae and recent publication lists for all Research Associates are posted on the cshAssociates Web site at www.cshAssociates.com.

In Communications, cshAssociates has formalized its long-standing relationship with London-based, award-winning writer, Wendy Haaf, and reporter and editor, Ken Kilpartrick. “Over the years, I’ve worked with both Wendy and Ken a great deal and I’m thrilled they have joined forces with us,” says Hodgson. “Ken brings to the organization over 20 years of journalism experience and Wendy is an award-winning feature writer. Both of them bring high levels of professionalism to their work.

Also joining the Communications Associates is Farrah Schwartz. Farrah, who has a Masters of Health Advocacy from Sarah Lawrence College and is currently working with Cancer Care Ontario, has expertise in health care policy, law, ethics, advocacy, and economics. She has a keen interest in using her training and experience to enhance patient education and empowerment.
